About you

They are in the process of building intelligent systems to track business performance and empower business decision. They are looking for an experienced Lead Fullstack Engineer to join their New Projects team.

The engineer will lead one of their development teams (Nova) that is responsible for new and long terms projects. The successful candidate will have a track record and experience of leading teams and working closely with business stakeholders.

The Role

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting a scrum team, delivering features on multiple projects.

  • Continuously reviewing & upgrading the architecture of the current platform.

  • Ensuring quality and standards are upheld

  • Mentoring more junior members of the team


The key skills and experience required for this role are:

  • Experience working on high transactional eCommerce platforms and payments systems

  • Previous experience leading team(s)

  • Comfortable sharing knowledge with less experienced developers and leading by example

  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript and how to build projects from scratch (React, Node)

  • Ability to work with & upgrade legacy code

  • Good understanding of Webpack & express

  • Experience with TypeScript

  • Management of NPM packages

  • Good understanding of UI layouts (box model, grid etc.)

  • Understanding & previous experience with SQL & NonSQL
