The role:

We’re looking for a VP of Applied Research - a brand new role. This role, reporting directly to the co-founder CTO, will be leading a team of 35+ researchers and will have ownership over building the AI models at the core of all of their products. The right person will be excited about spanning the range from guiding researchers in their exploration, to productionising research, to scaling up research-first products across multiple domains, dozens of countries and billions of predictions.

What we’re looking for… 

  • Experience bringing ML-first products to commercial scale

  • Experience managing multiple research teams & setting research culture

  • Great research intuitions and able to deep-dive and guide research work

  • Ability to effectively communicate & collaborate with customers, esp enterprise

  • Strong bias to action. able to drive results w/ different research timescale & horizons
